Meet Our Board

Remembering Patricia Gorence

Pat was a legendary advocate for Civil Rights advocate, from Wisconsin to Alabama and back again. She was the first woman to serve as a magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and the Project RETURN Board of Directors was blessed by her "quiet, competent, careful and caring" leadership in the last decade of her life. She passed away Aug. 4, 2025.
