Wendel oversees all programming at Project RETURN and is responsible for fundraising as well as speaking in the community about Project RETURN's programs. He participates in many meetings that work with community partners to address the needs of those returning from incarceration. He also participates in advocacy efforts to address policy change that would provide a more positive environment for those impacted by incarceration.

Wendel says that in the past two decades he has been blessed to be trusted by Project RETURN's clients and has learned so much over the years about the correctional system and the impact incarceration has on individuals and families in the community.
