Mark Rice

Project RETURN Board Member • he/him

Mark Rice currently serves as the Transformational Justice Campaign Coordinator at WISDOM Wisconsin.

Much of his work over the last 12 years has focused on overhauling the carceral system and building the power of organizations led by people who have been impacted by this system. Mark has served as a member of numerous national and statewide steering committees that aim to fundamentally transform the criminal legal system. He has earned an M.S. in Urban Studies and an M.S. in Nonprofit Management & Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. In 2016, Mark received the Distinguished Leadership Award from MICAH (Milwaukee Inner-city Congregations Allied for Hope) and a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from U.S. Congresswoman Gwen Moore for his outstanding and committed work to end mass incarceration.
